It takes money, materials and people power to build homes. Donating to fund home construction makes sense. Because of its use of volunteers, Habitat for Humanity has low overhead costs so most funds go toward building. Your tax-deductible donations to Habitat for Humanity help more than just one family -- as homeowners repay their no-interest loans, those funds are made available to the next house build to help yet another family become homeowners.

There are 3 ways for you to donate:

Please Note: If you are a regular donor to Habitat for Humanity International, in order for your contribution to be used locally you must designate "Habitat for Humanity of High Point, Archdale and Trinity" on your check. If you donate to Habitat for Humanity of High Point, Archdale and Trinity and would like 10% of your cash donation to be sent to Habitat for Humanity International, please designate when making your contribution. Donations to HFH International are NOT sent back to the local affiliate unless so marked.

This is how far your money will go towards providing a safe, decent, affordable home for a deserving family:

• Your  $5.00 donation will buy paint

• Your $10.00 donation will buy a light fixture

• Your $25.00 donation will buy a smoke alarm

• Your $50.00 donation will buy a kitchen sink

• Your $100.00 donation will buy a picture window

• Your $500.00 donation will buy lumber for the front porch

• Your $1,000 donation will buy a foundation

• Your $5,000 donation will frame an entire house
